Kruger National Park / Panorama Route Self-Drive Motorhome Safari Tour (7 days) - KNPANCAMP7
A unique professionally escorted selfdrive motor-home safari through Kruger National Park and the Panorama Route of Mpumalanga Province, South Africa.

Day 1: Arrive in South Africa
Day 2: Kruger National Park

On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg Jan Smuts Airport), a registered guide from Explore Africa Tours and Safaris will meet you at the arrival terminal. You will be transferred to your hotel where you can relax after a long flight.

The dinner occasion will be discussed with you once collected from the airport.

Day 2: Kruger National Park
This morning, after an early breakfast at your Johannesburg hotel, you will be transferred to the Campervan Motorhome depot where you will collect your selfdrive Campervan Motorhome, sign the necessary documents, pick up your Campervan Motorhome, and depart to the Kruger National Park.

After a +- 5 hour drive you arrive at one of the gates entering Kruger Park. The excitement of game viewing starts here. You are in “Big Five“ (African Elephant, African Buffalo, White and Black Rhinoceros, Lion and Leopard) country. You will have a booked campsite at two different camps inside the park. You will be supplied with a “Find It” book, which is an excellent guide to game-spotting of mammals and birdlife.

Buffet / a la carte /self service restaurants and food shops available in all camps.

Day 3: Kruger National Park
An early wake up call and set off in your own Campervan Motorhome vehicle searching for the lion pride that spent the night sleeping on the dry road, the elephant herd wandering around a waterhole and many more nowhere else to be seen than in Africa.

Breakfast will be served at one of the picnic spots on route.

In the late afternoon there will be an optional sunset open safari vehicle game drive of +- 3 hours with a game ranger to spot nocturnal animals that might not be seen during daytime.

A barbeque can be arranged and ready when you return from the sunset game drive.

Day 4: Panorama Route – Blyde River Canyon

After a filling breakfast we start our journey out of the Kruger Park towards the Blyde River Canyon in your Campervan Motorhome, the most beautiful nature environments in the eastern lowveld of Mpumalanga Province.

Overnight camping will be at a hotel in the famous Panorama Route region. Buffet restaurant available on hotel site.

Day 5: Panorama Route - Sabie
Have a late breakfast and continue with your Campervan Motorhome with sightseeing starting with Bourke's Luck Potholes, surrounding waterfalls, and Gods Window overlooking the green lowveld of Mpumalanga (one of the most visited areas in the world).

Stop at the next town, Graskop, for a browse through one of the interesting local shops. Depart to Sabie, a forestry town and tourist attraction where we will overnight at a very famous camping and caravan site in this evergreen little town. This town has a few interesting little restaurants to satisfy your taste of food.

Day 6: Johannesburg Via Long Tom Pass
This morning we leave the Panorama Route, traveling via the famous Long Tom Pass, at an altitude of 2,149 meters / 7,051 feet, and make our way to the town of Lydenburg.

We arrive in Johannesburg later the afternoon, deliver the selfdrive Campervan Motorhome vehicles, and transfer to the selected hotel for your overnight stay. B/B

Day 7: Johannesburg – Airport Transfer

• 2 night’s accommodation in Johannesburg on a Bed & Breakfast basis.
• Hire of a modern Campervan as per the itinerary, plus relocation costs.
• Cost of caravan & motor home parks.
• Sightseeing and entrance fees throughout as per the itinerary.
• Entrance fees to game park and Panorama excursions.
• Services of Tour Guide, Steve Stephansen, who is highly, experienced National Guide throughout South Africa.

• Cost of meals, except in Johannesburg where breakfast is provided. Tour members should allow approximately R 225.00 per person per day.
• Road tolls & taxes in South Africa. (Road Toll Fees +/- R 240.00)
• Cost of fuel and oil, (approximately R 1200.00) which is readily available throughout the country (even in Kruger National Park).
• CDW – Insurance Options Payable on collection Super cover CER 2 at R 300.00 per day will waive the excess for the vehicle & third party property damage to vehicle, payable with balance of tour cost. A full amount of R 1250.00 will be debited to each Driver’s credit card on day of collection of Camper.
• Travel insurance.
• Sunset Open vehicle Game drive with Kruger National Park official approximately R 160.00 per person (Optional)
• Contract Fee of R 100.00 included with Balance of full payment
• Items of a personal nature.

• The Campers Mobile Park-Homes include Standard Excess insurance cover, living equipment, full water tank and gas bottles, nationwide roadside assistance, extensive travel information pack, copy of the Southern Africa Road Atlas & Travel Guide, cleaning fee, and free transfers to and from hotels and airports. A comprehensive list of equipment will be provided.
• By taking out a suitable travel insurance policy, tour members will be covered for additional CDW insurance. A full amount on R 1250.00 will be deducted from Driver’s credit card on collection.
